Kanjizai-ji Temple(Kanjizai-ji)
A temple that passes down its ancient glory to today
This temple is said to have been founded in the year 807 by the great Buddhist teacher Kobo Daishi. It is also famous as the 40th temple along the route of the Shikoku 88-Temple Pilgrimage. The main gate, about 7 meters high and carved entirely from Japanese zelkova elm, is a splendid sight.
