“How do you go about catching a fish? You’re working with nature, so I want people to enjoy the experience even when they don’t catch anything.” So says Akihiko Yamakawa of Sanyo Tosen. The sea around Cape Komo is known as one of Japan’s finest places for rock fishing, and the view from the rocks is magnificent as well. The best time to go is from December to February, when the fish are at their tastiest.
