This okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake) shop is run by Hirano-san, the second-generation owner, who learned cooking both in Tokyo and abroad. He started out about 40 years ago, as a wandering seller of Takoyaki (an octopus snack). Now, he runs this okonomiyaki shop, which is thronged with local customers. The menu is vast, ranging from okonomiyaki in its Kansai and Hiroshima versions to modan-yaki and a-la-carte dishes. You’ll walk out of here very, very full.
