Connoisseurs rave about the quality of this long-running shop’s wine list, and it’s also educating the public about wine

This liquor store is now in its fourth generation, and run by a couple, the Kikuchis. Their lifelong quest has taken them to vineyards all around the world, and their list of wines – selected by Rumi Kikuchi, who’s qualified as a senior sommelier – runs to no less than 500 varieties. Most are reasonably priced, and connoisseurs from inside and outside the prefecture visit to find that special bottle they’re looking for.
