Je T’aime
A confectioner’s beloved by the local people down the generations
Je T’aime is a French confectionary shop established in 1898. One of its most popular items is “nasso horoyoi purin,” (400 yen) a tart-flavored sweet custard made with Uwajima and Tsushima unfiltered sake, a nationally renowned drink. But the locals’ hearts belong to the owner’s apple pie (280 yen), which basically sells out as soon as it comes out of the oven. This is their regular soul food.
